Abstract

The development of the construction sector and the increasing demand for steel buildings in Indonesia, especially in industrial areas such as Karawang, encourages the need for efficient, strong, and safe structures where steel frame construction is in industrial buildings and public service facilities. This study aims to analyze the rafter in the Visitor Management building to determine the strength and stability, while supporting sustainability efforts through the use of more efficient and environmentally friendly steel. The method used is loading based on SNI 1727: 2020 and SNI 1726: 2019 as well as rafter beam capacity analysis based on SNI1729: 2020 with the help of SAP2000 software. The results of the analysis obtained in the form of the ultimate moment value on the IWF 350.175.7.11 profile of frame scheme 7 is 123,943 kNm, shear force of 9,635 kN, and deflection of 17,052 mm. In the IWF 350.175.7.11 profile, the 8-frame scheme is 145,043 kNm, the shear force is 12,918 kN, and the deflection is 19,363 mm. In the IWF 400.200.8.13 profile, the 8-frame scheme is 141,727 kNm, the shear force is 13.093 kN, and the deflection is 10,612 mm. Based on the results of the rafter structure analysis with shear and flexural interactions in the Visitor Management building in Karawang with two spans of 11 meters each, it can be concluded that the use of IWF 350.175.7.11 and IWF 400.200.8.13 steel profiles analyzed using the LRFD method according to SNI 1729:2020 has met the requirements for structural strength and stability.
