About the Conference
A. Background
In recent years, the world has faced a series of global crises that have exposed the vulnerability of resource resilience across many countries, including Indonesia. Climate disruptions, supply chain interruptions, geopolitical conflicts, and global economic pressures have significantly affected strategic sectors such as food, water, and energy. These sectors constitute essential pillars for societal well-being and sustainable national development.
As global challenges continue to grow in complexity, resource resilience has emerged as a critical concern. Issues related to food security, clean water availability, and energy supply uncertainty require immediate attention. Factors such as climate change, population growth, rapid urbanization, and international political dynamics further increase the vulnerability of these vital sectors.
As a country endowed with abundant natural resources, Indonesia possesses significant potential to develop sustainable food, water, and energy resilience systems. However, this potential can only be fully realized through sound policies, cross-sector collaboration, and the effective utilization of research and innovation.
The National Seminar on Research and Community Service Outcomes is organized to disseminate recent research findings and community engagement experiences in the fields of food, water, and energy. Under the theme "Food, Water, and Energy: Strengthening Resource Resilience Amid Global Crises," the seminar aims to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and technology among academics, researchers, practitioners, and policymakers. Furthermore, the seminar serves as a platform for disseminating research and community engagement outcomes at the national level, ensuring that generated knowledge can contribute to society at large.
Through this initiative, the conference is expected to contribute significantly to the advancement of renewable energy development in Indonesia and support national efforts toward environmental sustainability.
